Join us for ARTcetera Houston!

ARTcetera Houston is an interactive, live art event inviting you behind the scenes to see the creative process in action. A selection of Houston's most talented artists - both local art scene mainstays and rising stars alike - will create original artworks for charity during the event. Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy live entertainment, cocktails, culinary bites and more. Attendees will bid on live art, a large-scale silent auction (available both online and in-person) and framed photographs taken by kids with cancer from a recent Shutterbugs class.

Fighting childhood cancer with love in the Lonestar state

houstonSBclass_edited.jpg

The Pablove Shutterbugs program  is the evidence-based healing arts program that teaches introductory and intermediate photography to children ages 6 - 18 years living with cancer. Both in-person and virtual photography classes are offered locally in Houston.  Introductory classes are held twice a year at Sawyer Yards. This 5-week arts education class teaches children + teens in Houston who are living with cancer to develop their creative voice through photography, and offers them an opportunity to "be a kid again."

The Powered by Pablove Research Grants provide $50,000 or $100,000 seed funding to investigators who have transformative ideas around pediatric cancer research. Their grant program seeks out the best and brightest researchers in the world and awards grants to the most innovative projects.

The key to finding those novel breakthroughs is in research. Since 2011, The Pablove Foundation has awarded more than $3.5 Million in childhood cancer research grants to institutions worldwide. With this money, researchers are zeroing in on new treatments and life-saving cures for the most vexing of childhood cancers.

We invite you to learn how we are spreading the (pab)love right here in Houston.

To date, nearly 150 kids with cancer have learned photography through the Houston Shutterbugs program and over $300,000 of childhood cancer research funding has been awarded to pediatric cancer researchers right here in Houston.
