Dr. Sheng Kuan Chung holds a Master of Arts from NYU and a doctorate from the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Sheng is a Professor at University of Houston who has taught art, art education, and visual studies for nearly 30 years.

 

A renowned scholar of art education, Sheng has published over 60 academic articles and recently received two national prestigious awards respectively from National Art Education Association and United States Society for Education through Art. He has shown his art in over 30 juried exhibitions in Taiwan and the United States including Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Dishman Art Museum, Conroe Art League, Lawndale Art Center, Archway Gallery, and The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake. His painting won Best of Show for the 2022 Texas Art Education Association Annual Members Art Show.
